Remedial Massage in St Leonards – Experience the Difference
Before your massage session

Make sure it is a good time for you to have a treatment.

Reschedule your appointment if you are unwell or have any of the following: fever, dizziness, nausea, bruises, wounds or skin irritations (such as sunburn or rashes).

Refrain from drinking alcohol 6 hours prior to your treatment.

Stay hydrated (Please do not gulp down water just before your treatment).

It is not recommended to have a big meal just before your treatment.

Give yourself enough time to arrive on time and relax.

Treatment session will start with a consultation. We ask you questions to better design a session that meets your needs and goals within the time allotted. Feel free to address any concerns you may have. Let us know if you are not happy with the proposed treatment plan.

During the treatment

It is important to note that more pain does not equal more gain!

Your comfort is important to us. Make sure you are comfortable and let us know if you are not. Tell us if you are cold, do not like the music or are experiencing discomfort with the technique being applied.

Feel free to request the type of music or playlist for your session.

Remember to breathe. Sometimes people hold their breath when a tender point is being treated, but it is best to breathe through it.

If you have difficulty relaxing, tell us. We will adjust our techniques and/or pressure.

Again, more pain does not equal more gain!

After the treatment

Keep your body warm!

How you feel after the treatment will depend on the style of massage used and the demands you place on your body afterwards.

Depending on the type of technique used, you may feel mild soreness or some discomfort for up to 24-36 hours following a massage session.

As with other regimes, such as exercise and diet, benefits of massage are cumulative, so enhanced benefits are usually enjoyed with regular treatments. This may be weekly for some and monthly or quarterly for others.
